Motorola RAZR V3 making gentoo-sources-2.6.12 panics

Hi,

I'm not a kernel hacker, but I have a reproducible kernel fault here. Sometimes it panics, sometimes it corrupt the reiserfs (and make my computer unbootable for 3 or 4 boots).

It is triggered by plugging my motorola razr v3 on the usb port of the computer and trying to do something with it (switching it to p2k mode by echo AT+MODE=8 >/dev/ttyACM0).

This is fully reproducible. My computer runs flawlessly if I don't plug it (I use to have it on for 1~2 weeks w/o booting).

I don't even know how to start looking for the problem. I would appreciate if someone could shred some light on the issue.
