Hi @ all,
I searched the internet, the gentoo forum and whatever but I didn't find a solution.

I had a MSN Problem with Kopete, so I thought of updating it. I emerged kopete-3.4, but it always wanted the kbuildsoycoca and that nearly crashed my KDE.

So I unemerged it and thought of a whole KDE Update. (3.3.1 to 3.4.1)

Ok... and now I have the problem:

The kdegames, kdenetwork, kdeutils (and I think the others also) stop compiling with following error:

Quote:

I emerge libxslt and libxml2 but that didn't help!

So what should I do now?

And here my emerge --info:

HELP!

I don't know if this helps, but I read in one Post, that it could be a problem of the Helpfiles. How can I compile all my KDE without the docbook? Could that be a solution?

Thanks!

you can try to put -doc in the USE var. this is in /etc/make.conf must be something like:

USE="kde -gnome -doc qt gtk gtk2 nvidia -3dfx -3dnow -bonobo -cjk -clamav -esd"

CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -fomit-frame-pointer"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j3"
LANGUAGE="34"
LANG="es_ES@euro"

I hope this help!!!!

Hi there,

sorry for beeing so quiet for such a long time.

I have a solution! It was really hard to figure that out, but ok, I got it! :D

First I tried to emerge without X and I tried "USE=-doc" but nothing worked...

So I gave up... yesterday I tried it again... and accidently I looked at the dmesg prompt, and read something about an error on my harddisk... "can't read node" or something... I was a bit confused, and so I tried a fsck... It found an error in some nodes, and I had to do a --rebuild-tree...

So first I backuped all my data and then I did this rebuild-tree... and WOW emerge kde-meta worked...

Ok, its still working, but who cares... :)

Thanx anyways!

bye
