pop filter in kmail seems not work

Hi,

want to use the pop filter capability of Kmail (version 1.8.2). But it doesn't work. Does this function depend on the POP server to support it?? I don't think so. I can remember that I had it working months ago, but the last months I didn't use it. Does anyone have the same problem? Maybe it is a bug in Kmail??? I want to be sure before I open a bug report.
