I have 2 LAN cards installed, both are connected to my ISP. I wish to connect to two different pppoe accounts using these two LAN cards. How do I do that? I use 'adsl-start' to log on to the internet, but this just works for one connection. What do I do to log on to the other account? Is there a ifup and ifdown script in Gentoo as there is in Fedora Core?
Also, if I am able to log on to both the accounts, how do I use the bandwidth alloted to both the accounts? Account 1 has a bandwidth of 128kbps and account2 of 64. How do i get the total bandwidth of 192kbps? |

I think you'd probably need to hack around with iptables to get certain traffic going over a certain connection (e.g. all ftp traffic over the big connection, http over the smaller one, or run squid through one and not the other & route what you want over squid, or whatever).
As for getting it all working so everything comes and goes over both connections like some kind of strange ethernet based RAID 0, I'm not sure if you can easily do that. But I'm sure someone will correct me ![Smile :)](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
