Hi... First of all I have to say I have manually checked and replaced the md5sum for the .tar.gz in the files/ directory (it was ok anyway)
I'm getting this error when updating mysql:
Quote: | >>> Updating Portage cache: 100%
* IMPORTANT: 15 config files in /etc need updating.
* Type emerge --help config to learn how to update config files.
* An update to portage is available. It is _highly_ recommended
* that you update portage now, before any other packages are updated.
* Please do so and then update ALL of your configuration files.

Having the exact same problem here. Just installed Gentoo on the system this morning.
I tried removing the portage folder and doing an emerge sync again, but no joy. |

I've managed to get it to work by emerging sandbox after it started telling me there was a problem with sandbox binary... |
