I've been having a problem at boot time with my ibook4. During boot, it will hang indefinately 50% of the time at either "Serial : 8250/16550 driver $Revision : 1.90$ 8 ports, IRQ sharing disabled" or the radeon driver init. dmesg outputs this error after the radeon init:
Code: | IN from bad port 64 at c015e474 |
and this after the Serial init:
Code: | IN from bad port <various hex> at c0162e38 |
I've been simply restarting the laptop after the hangs, but I already fixed one problem today, so I'm trying to get a roll going .

Ah! Thank you much! I tried searching for the the dmesg error output, but no luck. Guess I should've searched for "8250/16550 Serial" or somesuch. Thanks again. |
