Is there a way to bridge a wireless interface to an NIC? For instance, I use Vonage - my home server uses a wireless connect yet also has an extra eth0 - can I hook my phone up at the location of the server rather than the router?
Is there a way to tie together say ath0 and eth0 into bridge, allowing me to connect an extra switch to the server and hook up additional network components?
I have played a bit with brctl (bridge-utils), but don't seem to get to far. Any help would be appreciated! |

thanks for the link Uberlord.. i think I'm getting close.
Here's where I am, I have ath0 and eth0 bridged, on PC1. I have PC2 connected to PC1 on eth0, and I'm trying to ping some box on the wireless network with no luck. I can ping PC1 from PC2, and vice-versa but that's it...
Do I need to arrange a gateway of some sort?
EDIT: I can't ping other machines from PC1 either, in looking at iwconfig - everything seems in order... Does bridging ath0 and eth0 prevent me from using ath0? |

10-4, just trying to save $60
I figured it would essentially work like a wireless router, using the wireless connection as in the gateway - permitting me to plug something else into the back of eth0 essentially creating a wireless island network. |
