Does anyone know how email clients like Outlook Express save their sent messages to an imap folder? I would like to have this happen when sending programmatically (using "sendmail -t" or whatever).

BTW, what is considered the "standard" way to do this sort of thing? I've been piping to "sendmail -t" for years but am game for newer ways since sendmail is such a pain in the rear. Is there a neato little utility that has the desired functionality (saving sent messages) as a command-line switch or something?
