torsmo/conky, how to make them stay on top or uncovered?

I am running conky and but when I maximize windows of other applications, it is covered up and make it so inconvenient to monitor information provided by conky.

Is there a way to make conky stay on top? or

Can conky run side by side with maximized windows without being convered up
?

I don't think this is possible. You could use dockapps or gkrellm or something like that, but conky/torsmo are made to stick to the desktop.
