I need to compile abiword with support for the bidi module, typicaly set for make to produce merge the right libs. How can I do this with Gentoo? Thanks, Uri

Looking at abiword 1.0.2 ebuild it has the line:

use nls \
&& myconf="${myconf} --enable-bidi"

Try to set your USE var to include nls and see how it goes.
