Hi,
Yesterday I sync-ed my portage tree and did an emerge --pretend --update world . I noticed that a udev update was availble. I seem to remember some weeks ago someone on the Gentoo forums was having porblems with a udev update and that this was a big change to udev (namely the roles of baselayout coldplug and hotplug have somehow changed) --- apologies if my memory is playing tricks on me!... Is this actually the case? Given how much trouble it was to get it working the first time, I hesitate to update...
Thanks very much for any help on this.
Pedro
PS I'm running 2005.1, kernel 2.6.12-r6, on amd64, and loving it. (Well, mostly anyway!) |
