Asf Files

Is there a program that will play these files? I've tried aviplay but it doesn't load them.

mplayer works and since when is mplayer evil, I like it use it to play my divx movie files, works great, never tried xine, what's so good about it (or what's so evil about mplayer?).

I play wmv fine with mplayer, that's the same as the old asf I think, so that should work fine.

building mplayer is not that hard, just read the docs or just emerge mplayer but then you have the default settings, skin and fonts. I prefer mplayer, but that doesn't mean Xine is bad, I've been using it too for some time.

PS: If there's something evil, it's M$ ASF and WMV, not mplayer ok
