I don't have any connections to the internet... It works under windows, after I install the drivers. I often go back and forth from windows to linux, even if I never stick to linux for long and everytime the version changes, I remember 2004.0 or .1 wasn't detecting it, and then the next version did detect it automatically. Now 2005.1 doesn't detect it automatically... I tried to modprobe e100 it did nothing.. Could anybody help me?

Is the module not loading at all? Maybe try module: eepro100
If all your doing is loading the module and expecting it to work you have to tell Gentoo what you want to do with it. i.e. DHCP, static IP, routes.
We need some more info. After loading one of those module (e100 or eepro100) type:
lsmod
ifconfig -a
Paste it here.
