Good day gentoo users. I have a laptop running gentoo. I just wanted to ask if there is a way of using /proc to determine if there is a vga cable plugged into my laptop.

I can check if the lid is opened or closed using.

[Mon Sep 05 12:31:38][vetruvius@valium /]> $ cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state
state:      open
[Mon Sep 05 12:31:38][vetruvius@valium /]> $


I can use that to check if the lid is opened or closed. Just need some way of determining if I there is a vga cable (external monitor cable) plugged into the back of my laptop.
