Hallo everyone,
I am a little confused with a problem here and hope someone has an idea. I used a howto on the de.gentoo-wiki.com site referencing to the luc de louw howto. I used this howto already back on my days with SuSE Linux.
However, my problem is, that the connection time is really slow. As far as I can say, the client connects to the server, but the authentication takes a really long time. I doubt it is a hardware or network problem because there is a web and ftp server running also with a mysql backend and all is fine. My logs tell me little about my problems. The only thing I found was the SASL complaining about the missing select statement. However I added it and tried with two results: 1) Connection speed is still slow 2) I can't authenticate with cyrus in cyradm, because the cyrus user isn't in the mysql backend.
Does someone experience these problems? I also tried to use an unstable package of cyrus-imapd, again with no results. Using Cyrus-Imapd 2.2.12 / 2.2.12-r3.
I look around for almost a week loosing my hair now... Please help....
Greets
