Hi there!
I am trying to set up ACPI on my new laptop, Toshiba L10, and are having some problems.
I have enabled ACPI in the kernel and loaded all modules but it does not detect when I go from AC power to battery, and vice versa.
I am looking at /var/log/acpid and it detects when the lid is opened and closed, so something is working.
anybody able to help me with this?

are you sure both ac and battery modules are loaded ? (if you compiled as modules and not in kernel...)
When you
Code: | $ tail -f /var/log/acpid |
Do you see anything showing up when you connect/disconnect your power cord ?
There's a posibility that your laptop doesn't support this event notification - I had one laptop like that once (Compaq). It might be also a buggy DSDT which can be overridden... |

- Look for some ACPI-related messages in dmesg.
- This doesn't belong here. It should be moved to the hardware forum.
