|
|
Hi all!
I have made everything like it is described in the gentoo Wireless HOWTO, but there is even a problem:
when I run the net.eth1 script, it says to me that it cannot associate with my AP, but he finds it well.
The wep key is correct and the preferred aps section is defined well.
when I configure it manually with iwconfig and fetch an ip with pump, all is fine.
What I'm doing wrong?
P.S. sorry for my bad english |

Try posting the output of /etc/init.d/net.eth1 start
Your description lacks the detail to solve the problem. |

Here is the output of net.eth1:
Code: |
* Starting eth1
* Loading networking modules for eth1
* modules: iwconfig essidnet iptunnel ifconfig pump apipa
* iwconfig provides wireless
* ifconfig provides interface
* pump provides dhcp
* Configuring wireless network for eth1
* Scanning for access points
* Found "WLAN" at 00:04:0E:66:72:B4 (WEP required)
* Connecting to "WLAN" (WEP enabled - open) ... [ !! ]
* Couldn't associate with any access points on eth1
* Failed to configure wireless for eth1 [ !! ]

when I connect to an unencrypted AP, it connects well. Seems that it didn't pass the WEP key to iwconfig.
Can anybody help me? |
