|
|
Hi,
I have a Asus Z9000 Laptop and the only way to upgrade BIOS is from Asus Window Apps. Well, that what they said on their site. But, I have the ".rom" file. So, I wonder if there is any way that I can update my BIOS from a CD-ROM and how can I burn the CD with this .rom file and install it. My computer is entirely Gentoo so I can't install windows. There must be a way to update it whitout windows...?
Thanks all
David

What is your purpose of upgrading the bios? Unless it fixes a problem on your computer, I would advise you to stay away from upgrading. Why fix something that already works? Sometimes bios upgrades cause some major f***ups. _________________ Gentoo Hardened Linux 2.6.21 + svorak (Swedish dvorak) |
