Hello all
Some little questions regarding envirement and ethereal.
1.) i have installed ethereal but as a normal user i can not run ethereal (it runs) but no nics can be selected.
How can i make ethereal un as root as normal user.
I tried with pam but it does not work.
(With Red Hat you get a nice popup box to enter roots password so it runs as root )
2.) When i open a terminal in gnome 2.2 it give me bash.
When i do env-update it gives me the colored user prompt why does it not start up with that prompt.
3.) when i make an alias like alias vi=vim it works but when i reboot or log out my aliases are gone. how to keep these aliases.
4.) |
