I dont know if this make sense... but I just want two thing for gnome:
1 - Right Click menu, like fluxbox... it is possible?
2 - thumbnail docking, like FVWM....
why?, because I hate "icon" shortcuts... and because I hate "windowish taskbars:
People may say, install FVWM then... well thats a posibility, but I want a full DE, and GNOME is almost perfect!!, flexible, fast, and robust for my needs. Metacity - Nautilus is great!, I just need those 2 things to make it perfect!
Thanks for your response.

the first should work, even if you have to edit the code. the second i doubt, at least it would be very hard to accomplish. but you can install openbox (for example) and still use metacity as the window-manager. so you could get the benefits of both. _________________ geek by nature, linux by choice

hi,
for the 1st, if you can start gnome with nautilus without the 'draw desktop' option. There will be no menu at all.
Then you can load some part of other WM that do they menu, like xfdesktop (from xfce) or rox or what ever that draw the menu on flux/open/blackbox... I used to do that when i used gnome cause i hated that no-sense and useless menus from gnome.
for the 2nd, you can run the docking app from FVWM, i don't know the name but you can check it with top.
