|
|
Hey,
My situation is a college campus network with port 21 blocked. My idea is to port forward 21 to my home machine (which I know how to do) and then have my home machine forward that request to the internet.
Step 1) Laptop on Nazi network
Step 2) ssh forward port 21 to home machine
Step 3) ???
Step 4) Be able to work on websites
I'm also open to other ideas on this. Note, I only have ftp access to the servers that I am ultimately trying to reach. _________________ www.bearscanfly.org - Because hiking is cool |

FTP is a very complicated protocol for all kinds of manipulations (like NAT) as it uses multiple ports for each connection (basically 1 for control and 1 for data traffic). Why don't you just install a proxy on your home machine and use that (possibly through the ssh tunnel)? |
