Hi everyone,
I have been getting some strange mouse lockups in X recently after installing 2.6.12-r10
It seems like every time the computer goes idle for long enough to trigger the screen-saver / screen blank / etc, the mouse stops responding and I have to switch to an ALT shell (CTRL-ALT F1...etc) and then back to X to get the cursor back.
I have both ACPI and APM enabled in the Kernel, and I'm wondering if there is an issue where the mouse is going down to standby and not returning.
I have not enabled modules for either of these kernel options, since I think they are built in, but I could be wrong.
I have power management enabled in the Gnome screen saver settings, also.
Pardon my vagueness, I'm pretty new to gentoo (at least for managing my own install)
Any thoughts? I have an nvidia card using the nvidia driver, but I haven't been getting the usual "mouse moves but X is frozen" lockups since i switched over from nv to nvidia.
I should also add that the monitor never goes to standby mode, it just displays a blank screen but never turns off the screen.
Thanks,
Lincoln |
