|
|
Ok so I searched through prior forum posts and tried everything that was suggested *but* I still can not get my mousewheel to work. First, I want to mention that cat /dev/input/mice or cat /dev/psaux does not output any gibberish when I scroll the mousewheel. However, movement of the mouse and the 3 buttons do. Here is my current config:
Code: | Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse" #symlinked from /dev/psaux
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
|
I tried using the protocols 'auto' and 'explorerPS/2', the device '/dev/psaux', '/dev/input/mice' and '/dev/input/mouse0', and different zaxismapping numbers mixed with the buttons option. I've tried different combinations of all the options listed above. The mouse is a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. I am sure most of you will be turned off by the topic, but find it in your heart to give this problem a glance and offer any guidance. |

I plugged the mouse into a usb->ps/2 converter and plugged it into the ps/2 mouse port. Now the mouse wheel works! I'll take it. |
