Every time I turn on my computer, it thinks that it's September, 2003. It does get correspondingly later each time, though. How do I get Gentoo to set the clock on my motherboard?

Also, I want to be able to log on via SSH, as I don't have enough monitors/keyboards/space. I can access the computer via SSH now by running /etc/init.d/sshd start, but I want to do it automatically when I turn my computer on. I entered "rc-update add sshd default" but that didn't seem to work. Is that right?

edit /etc/conf.d/clock

Code:
rc-update add sshd default

should work.
Perhaps you need to edit /etc/conf.d/rc and set net checking to "none" ...

And replace your CMOS battery... you can get one at Walmart for $2. :)
