Hi Having some probs with hal. When I reboot sometimes it'll start and work fine or other times it'll crap out with this error.
Code: |
/usr/sbin/hald: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.0: cannot open shared object file: Permission denied
|
Anyone come across this before? Thanks
fintan. |

Just to bump this I re-emerged expat. It sort of solved the problem. Now it doesn't happen as regularly. Although I'm getting these now.
Code: |
/etc/init.d/hald: line 12: 10063 Segmentation fault start-stop-daemon --start -q --exec /usr/sbin/hald
|
and
Code: |
/usr/bin/ivman: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/bin/ivman: unsupported version 0 of Verneed record

Just to bump this. Still happening randomly, going to unemerge some things like xml2, expat and see if I can tell which package is causing the problem. Was also having trouble re-emerging dbus with these use flags
sys-apps/dbus-0.23-r3 +X -debug -gtk +python +qt +xml2
Also on one reboot portage was having trouble openning a shared library. |
