I'm running 2.6.11-love2 [they dropped reiser4 in more recent releases ], and I'm experiencing kernel panics every time that I remove a USB device from my computer (well, just one each time...). I had an idea that it might be kind of like a double-free, but for unregistering devices.
Not sure what to do at this point other than be very careful about usb devices. |

Not sure too,
are you sure its kernel panic?
I had stdin maps messed up and broken when plugging in USB device under 2.4.* kernels, fixed by changing to 2.6.* kernel.
also, is that kernel panic happens only with certein usb devices?
cheers, _________________ "Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent" - Marilyn vos Savant
