My subnotebook features a "Ricoh Co Ltd R5C576 SD Bus Host Adapter", which, because of the now so low pricings of SD-card-media, recently became attractive to me to be considered as external data storage. However, I failed to find any docs on the web mentioning a project about to implementing support for this device in the Linux kernel. Thh guy over here seems to have had no success, neither...
Anyone in here happened to have more luck on that one? _________________ Free Software. Free Sociecty. Better Lives. |

The SD standard is pretty closed source, so there isn't support for SD card. If you want support for sd cards, might try buying a usb media reader. I got my SD card reader working under Mandrake on my old desktop. It would jsut show up like a usb mem stick. But yeah....I dont even waste my effort on SD with my laptop at the moment |
