GCC toolchain & bootstrap.sh question

If I build GCC 3.4.4 as per the instructions in 2005 & GCC 3.4.4 guide do I still need to bootstrap? Isn't build the toolchain exactly what the bootstrap script does?

If your going to go gcc-3.4.4 then use a stage3 and follow the guide. So no you dont bootstrap. You just rebuild everything which is simular to a bootstrap.
