Hi there,
i have a question related to the usb/data link cable ALi M5632 and usage on Gentoo(2.6.12 r6).
This hardware is working perfect in single OS environments:
Connection between Gentoo<->Gentoo(2.6.12 r6) is working perfect
Connection between XP<->XP is working perfect.
But it when comes to XP<->Gentoo nothing is working any more.
IP is not coming up.
I did some search on the web and found out that there are two different protocols for this device:
1. RNDIS (MS)
2. CDC (Linux)
This should be the reason for the problem. But how to solve it?
Is there a way to get usbnet speaking RNDIS or XP speaking CDC?
I also found out that there is generally RNDIS support in Linux via the usb gadget driver. But how to run my device via this driver, is this possible?
Any idea?
Regards and thanks in advance,
