Hi folks,
I've been looking into IPSec recently and managed to setup
a transport-pre-shared-key connection between two computers,
which made me very happy
I was using openswan for this. But now I have also found out
about strongswan , which have an impressive web-site filled
with cool examples.
So, being an IPSec amateur, which of these two IPSec packages
do you (professionals) recommend ? Which one, if anyone, is the
safest bet (futurewise...) ?
Cheers, Tobbe |

in my opninion, openswan is pretty solid... strongswan looks promising... theyre both based on the now dead freeswan...
as for the future... i havent really heard much about strongswan... maybe because openswan has a bigger community? or maybe ive just been living in a cave too long.
of course i always plug m0n0wall. |
