|

Hello!
I have a EPSON STYLUS PHOTO 1200 printer and is present in /dev/usb as lp0.
I have emerged cups and gimp-print and have cups and gimpprint USE flags set in make.conf.
But cups does not show gimp-print drivers in config dialog - trough web interface.
Any ideas why or what could be the problem?
With cups driver i can start to print a test page, but is only pulling empty pages trough with some
characters at the top of the page.
Thx, sale |

Same problem here.
I emerged cups and gimp-print, but the gimp-print drivers are not shown.
What do I have to do?
edit: I have found the problem. I had to use the ppds flag.
thx anyway |

Confirmed : the solution are the ppds and the gimpprint USE flags.
I had the same problem : printer recognized as USB printer, but no gimp printer available in the KDE configuration of CUPS.
I reemerged cups and gimp with the new flags in /etc/make.conf.
I emerge coldplug.
Seems to work now (except that the printers heads are dirty, but that's another story).
