|
|
When i try to log in with su, i get the following error:
Code: | $ su
Password:
configuration error - unknown item 'FAILLOG_ENAB' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'LASTLOG_ENAB' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'MOTD_FILE' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'FTMP_FILE' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'ENV_ROOTPATH' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'PASS_MIN_LEN' (notify administrator)
configuration error - unknown item 'CHFN_AUTH' (notify administrator) |
This is happening after an "emerge world --newuse --update --deep".
I searched the Forum and the Web and found, that the common solution ist to run etc-update. But etc-update didn't help. I also tried to run dispatch-conf, which also didn't work.
The pam-Useflag is set and i reemerged pam. But i still get those errors.
Do you have any further Ideas? |

You could try reemerging pam-login, then doing etc-update again. I think thats what will create the new login.defs file, and it isn't automatically reemerged along with pam. |
