whenever I run xemacs or emacs,then X crashes.And error message is "X caught signal 11,Aborting".Nothing else!
I have re-emerged emacs and xemacs many times,and I can't fix the problem.My /etc/make.conf is displayed as follows:
Code:
# These settings were set by the catalyst build script that automatically built this stage
# Please consult /etc/make.conf.example for a more detailed example
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe"
CHOST="i386-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
USE="gtk gnome X qt kde dvd alsa cdr real xine ithreads nptl nptlonly

well on your use flages
Code:
nptl nptlonly
using both those flags isnt a good idea

and i also noticed you do not have emacs flag and well theres might be more....

nice thing i use to help wih use flags is
Code:
app-portage/ufed
after thats emerged just type ufed in the terminal it brings up a gui of a listing of most of the flags and you just check the box and when your done save it and it will add all your new use-flags to /etc/make.conf for you
