Hi,

I'm running an ATI Radeon 9200 in a 700Mhz Athlon System with VIA Chipset.
I installed Xorg and the ATI Drivers. I configured X with fglrxconfig. X starts up fine I see the kdm login screen. logging in to kde 3.2.3 is working also. But when i try to stop or restart X from the kdm login screen or withing kde itself, the screen gets black and then i just see a "_" in the upper left corner in the screen. (so it seems to be text mode) the system is completely frozen. (cannot even ping it from another system)

does anyone have an hint for me? thx a lot!
