Hello.
I even wrote with the author of wwwoffled. He said, that this behaviour is normal:
The daemon doesn't notice if dns server changes. This happens to me, if I am on the way with my laptop or turn on vpn.
Every time I have to restart wwwoffled.
Is there a way to have a fixed alias for changing dns servers? _________________ HP ZBook Power G9 i7-12700H|HP ProDesk 600 G5 i7-9700|HP EliteDesk 800 G1 i7-4790|HP Compaq Pro 6300 i7-3770 |

I used to use wwwoffle and the author is correct though erring on the safe side. I presume you have read the wwwoffle FAQ Q3.2 which explains the authors reasoning?
If you don't want to use a local DNS server such as dnsmasq which monitors changes to resolv.conf, it is probably safe under Linux to add a res_init() call after each child is forked to serve a request. _________________ Alan. |
