Hi,
Everytime some time (order 30 minutes) after I start up my computer and network connections (eth0 to ADSL-modem, vpn connection using vpnc) (all at boot) the vpn connection goes down. Just restarting vpnc solves everything (afterwards, there is no more disconnection).
Already tried: continuous ping (once every minute or so) to the vpn server. No improvement.
Having to drop to a root terminal to type "/etc/init.d/vpnc restart" is starting to annoy me, so I have two questions:
1) How can I find out what the problem is and solve it? (Anyone encounter something similar?)
2) In the meantime, is there a way to automatically restart the vpnc-daemon when it goes down (e.g., if ping doesn't get a response after some time, trigger restart). Please be very verbose when explaining!
Thanks in advance,
Erik |

Exactly the same here. There are lot of discussions in university groups but no one knows the reason of the disconnects. _________________ HP ZBook Power 15.6" G8 i7-11800H|HP EliteDesk 800G1 i7-4790|HP Compaq Pro 6300 i7-3770 |
