Hey! I just installed the kexi application ( version 1.4.1 ), but I'm not seeing how to add/use a remote database server.... is there something non-obvious that I need to do/install? Thanks!

Have you tried the "Advanced" button in the Open Existing Project dialog?
I get this informative message:
