I just compiled net-wireless/gnome-bluetooth 0.5.1 without any problems and with all dependencies but...
... it simply refuses to start
Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/gnomebt/manager.py", line 275, in ?
    BTManager ().main ()
File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/gnomebt/manager.py", line 78, in __init__
    self.setup_gui ()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/gnomebt/manager.py", line 143, in setup_gui
    gnome.ui.PREFERENCES_NEVER)
TypeError: gtk.HBox.__init__() takes at most 2 arguments (3 given)

So to be sure i reemerged python (2.3.5), gnome-python (2.10.0) and gtk+ (2.6.7).
Nothing happened, still the same error(s). besides I am using gnome-2.10-r1 with xorg-6.8.2-r2 on a x86 architecture (P4).

Has anyone else encountered this problem and solved it or is it a case for Bugzilla?

Greetings, Michael

USE='~x86' emerge gnome-bluetooth doesnt work, either the /etc/portage/packages.use :(

I'am doing a 'emerge /usr/portage/net-wireless/gnome-bluetooth/gnome-bluetooth-0.5.1-r2.ebuild' did the job. It compiled sucessfully.

Can't do further checks now. Work's waiting

A simple
Code:
echo 'net-wireless/gnome-bluetooth 0.5.1 ~x86' >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
emerge gnome-bluetooth
did solve the problem for me and everything works fine now, Thanks a lot :D

Hi All,
emerging gnome-bluetooth-0.5.1-r2 with the x86 keyword does not work for me nor the other suggestions in this post. However, I did upgrage python to 2.4 in an effort to get it working. Could this be the problem??
Cheers,
Sat
