Hi

Im trying to get gentoo isntalled on my new inspiron 6000. At the emerge gentoo-sources part, I get a failed md5 verification on /usr/portage/distfiles/linux-2.6.12.tar.bz2. So that means the file is corrupt...but how can that be, I got all the way to this stage and the kernel source is corrupt?

Does that make sense, anyone else encounter this?

thanx

Delete the file and emerge again.

Hi.

If deleting the file from /usr/portage/distfiles is not enough, you should do an emerge --sync, delete the file and try again to emerge.
