hi, I don't really know where to post,so here I am 
My initial problem was to mount a directory via nfs where it would be possible to add files, but impossible to delete.. Well it looks like it's not possible (playing with permission, owner and so on).
Anyway forget about nfs, I'm not using "i" right now, I just found some weird things, just tell me if that's normal behaviour or not:
On the same computer, i've got 2 users:
| Code: | invite@gentoobox ~ $ groups
share
and
sam@gentoobox ~ $ groups
adm wheel audio video games users portage shutdown share |
and the strange thing

total 29765

invite@gentoobox /home/data/pentax $ mv 075.jpg 076.jpg
invite@gentoobox /home/data/pentax $ |
I have no permission denied wheras i'm logged in as invite and not sam?
(and it worked | Code: | invite@gentoobox /home/data/pentax $ ls -l
total 29765
-rw-r--r-- 1 sam users 182412 jun 29 19:38 076.jpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 sam users 330372 jun 29 19:38 078.jpg

Is that really strange, or it's just me??

Try
To see the permissions of the folder /home/data/pentax
(read man chmod) - set sticky bit
| Code: | | chmod 1777 /home/data/pentax |
invite can then add and delete their own files, but not delete yours
