Well I search Google and I couldn't find anything. I asked in the #gentoo room on freenode and I was basically told that it's my fault for using genkernel, refered to as a troll, refered to that same person as a troll and was kick/banned for "insulting" which is "unacceptable behavior" (unless it comes from an op of course) lol
Now that I got that rant out of the way and the way lol. Hopefully googlebot will pick this up and some poor soul wont go through the same frustrations I did.
I recieved two problems. The first problem was I was getting "Could not install udev rules!". The second problem is I was getting, "Could not find e2fsprogs source tarball".
Both problems were solved when I realized that /etc/genkernel.conf was outdated. I emerged the latest version of genkernel and then ran etc-update and the problem was solved .
I can't remember your name and my IRC client crashed :\ but someone on freenode offered me a lot of help and I really appreciate it. You said you are on the forums so hit me up if you read this .
Good luck! |
