gensplash => network problem

Hello,
I'm using the genkernel (kernel 2.6.12-r10) and I've installed gensplash two days ago and since that I'm not be able to solve problem with my network. When I have in the grub.conf the parameter "splash=verbose...", everything is OK, but when I have the parameter "splash=silent..." suddenly the network doesn't work correctly - eth0 is right, ip settings too, but every connection is ended with error "Network is unreachable" (ping my dns server) or "Host not found". It is very strange. Also, when I had kernel compiled with one theme (genkernel --gensplash=theme all) and I used different theme, the same problem happened even if had in grub.conf the parameter "splash=verbose".

Can anybody help me?
