I have a couple of questions about a dual-boot setup with Gentoo and Windows XP.
I'm having problems with my Windows XP installation and I've decieded my two options are get rid of Windows or reinstall it.
If I reinstall do I just have to boot using the Gentoo Install CD and reinstall GRUB to the drive?
If I choose to overwrite Windows, can I just use fdisk to change to partition type to LVM and add it to my current LVM2 setup? Or will it cause problems with /boot not being at the beginning of the drive? |

Hi.
1. Yes, you probably have to. If you have a [K|G]noppix cd, you don't need to chroot.
2. Yes, I think so. There's no need to have /boot at the beginning of the drive. However, if you are planning to change the /boot location, you will need at least to reinstall GRUB. _________________ Jorge.
