Hi,
For some reason, some of my friends have not yet upgraded to Linux + Evolution but they're using Outlook instead When I want to reply to one of their emails, I get lines that start with an > (that's what I want) but there are is no word wrapping (or is it line wrapping?), every paragraph is transformed into a very long line. I think it has to do with the fact that the original email didn't have any carriage returns.
To work around this, I paste the quotation in gvim, and do this:
Vim will wrap the quotation to it's textwidth and put additional > marks where they should be. I paste this back into Evo so I can reply to the email with a quoted email that looks normal.
What I would like to know: is there any way to make Evolution do this? I'm using Evo 2.2.3.
Outlook seems to send the emails in some format that doesn't include line ends. When I view the source, I see only base64 encoded stuff. Here's an example of an email that doesn't word wrap when I want to reply:
Code: |
<cut start of normal header>
x-mimeole: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.0.6603.0
content-class: urn:content-classes:message
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="----_=_NextPart_001_01C5BACE.7D12779E"
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
<cut rest of normal header>
------_=_NextPart_001_01C5BACE.7D12779E
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
<cut - base 64 encoded stuff>
------_=_NextPart_001_01C5BACE.7D12779E
Content-Type: application/ms-tnef; name="winmail.dat"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
<cut - even more base 64 encoded stuff>

(oh by the way, if there's a way to make gvim the text editor of Evo, let me know...)
Greetings and thanks in advance,
