cant see files in /mnt/cdrom

Hello, i just finished to install gentoo on my thinkpad t21, i have everything working good, but i have a problem, and i dont know what it is, i can't see the files in /mnt/cdrom, if i use konqueror i get the window empty, like if the cd were empty, the same from console, but i can play music cds, and dvds without problems. My fstab is normal, the same i have in another machine and everything works fine. What is wrong? please help me. I have supermount in my kernel, 2.4.19-r10 (gentoo-sources).

You have to mount the cdrom to see the files inside that directory. Since you don't need to mount audio CDs or DVDs to play them, the directory is empty.

Kind of off topic, but... Just curious as to how you installed Gentoo on your T21. I've been trying to do the install for several days now with no luck. I'm unable to boot from the cd & the various other methods have been unsuccessful so far.
