im new to cd burning in general since this is my first ever cdr. i burned a 100mb file at 24x and it took just over a minute. i know that in winXP it's hella faster than that (or am i just dreaming?).

im running it as a regular user following the instructions in kerframils guide to the letter. the only difference is that i compiled scsi support inline rather than as modules. i can assume that running gtoaster as root wouldn't give me these errors. does anyone know what the errors mean? are they fatal? should i be concerned?

**********UPDATE***********

i just tried to mount the cd i just burned and i get this:

Code:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
or too many mounted file systems

just to make sure, i tried a game cd and it worked fine. i know that the cd i burned was indeed burned. i can see on the disc where the data was written. i also tried a cd that i had burned as root and i didnt get those strange permission errors. the cd took about 15 seconds less time to burn, but it also cannot be mounted. i tried a cd that i burned using gtoaster in redhat though, and it mounts just fine. what the hell's going on?!

i tried mounting it with mount /dev/sr0 /cdrom -t iso9660 but it gives the same error message. i also noticed that when i mount a blank cdr i get the same message but it gives it to me right away rather than spinning up the cd drive first. please help!
