Hi
I've got one of those new Ibooks (august) and I'm trying to get my touchpad to work on it:
Code: |
bigmac appletouch-0.08 # make
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.12-gentoo-r10/build SUBDIRS=/home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08 modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.12-gentoo-r10'
CC [M] /home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08/appletouch.o
/home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08/appletouch.c:36:29: linux/usb_input.h: No such file or directory
/home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08/appletouch.c: In function `atp_probe':
/home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08/appletouch.c:378: warning: implicit declaration of function `usb_to_input_id'
make[2]: *** [/home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08/appletouch.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [_module_/home/boudewijn/appletouch-0.08] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.12-gentoo-r10'
make: *** [default] Error 2

What's going wrong?
I've read:
http://www.popies.net/atp/
http://johannes.sipsolutions.net/PowerBook/touchpad/
Is there by the way another (more nice ) way of making this work? _________________ Mijn Nederlandstalige Gentoo forum:

just found out that the 0.07 version does compile, but I don't know what to do with it after compiling.
Already tried make install and putting it into /lib/modules/<kernel_version>, but that doesn't work I'm afraid _________________ Mijn Nederlandstalige Gentoo forum:
