i have a usb hard drive that keeps loosing its connection with linux, so-to-speak. i can unplug and replug the usb cable and remount the hard drive and use it for several hours without problems before it happens again.
is the problem with the filesystem, the hardware, or linux?
here is information from dmesg:

If possible try it with another memory stick to make sure the problem is or isn´t the hardware. _________________ A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions. - Oliver Wendell Holmes |
