Hi, just a simple question. Is it possible to configure Openswan so that I can automatically logon to a Windows domain? It would be great for me for example to access sql server databases on SQL Server at my office...
TIA |

Hello again,
Am I right in thinking that you only start Openswan when you want the tunnel to the office or is it up all the time?
Assuming you are not already joined to a domain on your home Windows PC I think the only way you can do this is either by joining the work domain and logging into that when you boot up. The logon creditentials will be cached from the first time you logged into the domain, so even if the VPN is down you will still be able to log in to the domain at boot. Then when you actually connect to the server you've already logged in so it is kind of automatic.
Unless somebody else knows any better. |
