Apache (Xml parsing)

Hi all,
I have installed apache with sablotron which works perfectly except for the processing speed. When loading a web site with a lots of xml file, the apache server responds slowly compared to php or jsp wih tomcat.

My question is: Is there a way to do some caching file with sablotron or do you recommand another program to parse the xml file ? Maybe, I need to do some tuning...

why transform the xml on the server?
let the clients transform.
